Unigraft, Synthetic Bone Mineral, 1 Gram, 5 per pack
Unigraft is a synthetic bone mineral for use in the repair of osseous defects. It is a bioceramic granule ( commonly reffered to as Bioactive Glass ) that is easy to use and facilitates new bone formation in osseous defects.
After implantation, Unigraft granules are transformed into a biological hydroxyapatite scaffold that steadily releases bone mineral ingredients, including calcium, phosphorus and silicon. The development and ingrowth of new bone at the implantation site of Unigraft is favored, due to the affinity of osteoblasts to the biological hydroxyapatite scaffold and the steady supply of bone minerals. Generation of new osseous tissue progresses with time, within and around the scaffold until the biological hydroxyapatite scaffold is replaced and filled in with the newly formed bone.
Indications:
Approx 200-400 microns
Augmentation or reconstructive treatment of the alveolar ridge
Filling of infrabony periodontal defects
Filling of defects after root resectio, apicoectomy, and cystectomy
Filling of extraction sockets to enhance preservation of the alveolar ridge
Elevation of the maxilary sinus floor
Filling of periodontal defects in conjunction with products intended for Guided tissue regeneration
( GTR ) and guided bone regneration ( GBR)
Filling of peri-implant defects in conjunction with products intended for guided bone regeneration ( GBR)
Filling of large oral and maxillofacial osseous cavities
